Additional information on the keyboard mode

In keyboard mode, some voices and functions work differently from normal.

■ Simultaneous sound production

In keyboard mode, the “omni 1” voice is monophonic, whereas all other voices are polyphonic.

Monophonic: Produces only one note at a time. (A note of a last pressed button will be sounded.)

Polyphonic: Produces a chord (a combination of three or more notes).

Tips

• In monophonic, for example, if you press the “D” key while holding down the “C” key, “C” sound is switched to “D” sound instantly. And if you release the “D” key, it switched to “C” sound. This means that you can produce quick alternating sounds by pressing a key while holding down another key.
